“Commissioning a portrait is a special and personal decision, one that I made with great care,” said DeBilzan. “Arielle’s work is fresh, modern and truly powerful. I’m very proud to have this young artist, at the beginning of a successful career, paint my portrait for the opening of my museum exhibition. I’m excited to see what the future holds for her,” he added.

Krasner, a D.C. artist who is gaining popularity in the district, focuses on portraiture, using hand cut, multi-layered stencils and spray paint that adds a photo realistic quality to her pieces. She has shown her work in numerous exhibitions in the D.C. area.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to not only paint the portrait of such a prolific and outstanding artist, but to also have it on display among his great works of art,” said Krasner. “Through my intricate style, I hope to convey the impact that Bill has made on my painting."

The Coral Springs Museum of Art will be displaying both Krasner’s portrait and DeBilzan’s collection from June 11, 2016 to August 27, 2016. Artist reception is June 16, 20016.
