Republic Services and Keep Las Vegas Beautiful Present the First Inaugural Recycling Program Award at Upcoming Green Awards
Online, June 13, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The Las Vegas Business Press will host their 5th Annual Green Awards on Friday, July 20th 2012 at the "new" downtown City Hall. Republic Services and Keep Las Vegas Beautiful will present the first inaugural "Best Recycling Program Award" to an outstanding company, individual, school, and/or a special event that exemplifies environmental stewardship by implementing a successful recycling program, recycling awareness campaign and/or recycling initiative in Southern Nevada.
The nominee needs to display how a recycling program or recycling awareness campaign was implemented; tools and resources used to initiate and maintain the effort; obstacles, if any, faced when implementing; tools and materials used to further awareness and educate on the topic of recycling; success of the program or campaign thus far and lessons learned.
Nominations from companies, employees, business community leaders, PR firms, organizations, municipalities and event organizers will be accepted. In 200 words or less nominees need to describe what makes them a community leader and steward in recycling. The Best Recycling Program Award judging panel will consist of team members from Keep Las Vegas Beautiful non-profit organization, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful.
