Reserve 101 Hosts Complimentary California Reds Tasting March 8th
Online, March 7, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Reserve 101, "not your daddy's whiskey bar," will hold a complimentary wine tasting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, at the establishment located on the corner of Caroline and Dallas downtown across from House of Blues.
The tasting features Aquinas Pinot Noir, B Side Cabernet, Napa Cellars Zinfandel, and Cupcake Red Velvet. Reserve 101 will hold complimentary Tuesday Tastings throughout the month of March. To register for the event, go to: http://reserve101.com/whiskey-tastings-houston.
Reserve 101 stocks 170 varieties of whiskey-from recognizable to specialty brands, including new and limited-run offerings-along with beers, wines, liquors, homemade infusions and Signature Cocktails. It's the neighborhood bar for many of the downtown's athletes, executives, office and hotel workers, musicians, visiting celebrities, concertgoers and sports fans.
"Our bar is defined by our whiskeys and our clientele. We named it Reserve 101 to reflect both the highest levels of the whiskey distilling art and our intention to keep the bar a place that is set aside from the ordinary," says co-owner Mike Raymond.
The bar frequently hosts tastings of whiskeys, beers and wines from distinguished, award-winning distillers, vineyards and breweries. These are led typically by a master distiller, winemaker or brewer, and provide unique opportunities for customers to experience the entire spectrum of aromas and flavors available in top-of-the-line liquors, wines and beverages. Tastings of food and spirits pairings conceived by top local chefs are also planned.
Reserve 101 creates its own infusions, blending whiskey and other liquors with such exotic ingredients as pecans and cinnamon, apples, peaches, peppers and other flavors.
A calendar of tastings and downtown events for which Reserve 101 is likely to be the scene of an after party is in the Events section of the bar's website, http://www.reserve101.com.
