Residential Real Estate Council (RRC) to Offer 40 Real Estate Educational Sessions at Annual Sell-a-Bration® Conference

​​The Residential Real Estate Council (RRC), formerly known as the Council of Residential Specialists, announced today that it will offer 40 educational sessions at its annual Sell-a-bration® 2018 conference on Feb. 5 - 6, 2018 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. The event which attracts real estate professionals from across the country and internationally includes two days of unparalleled networking opportunities and insight from top agents and industry leaders.

This year’s event features keynote speakers, interactive workshops, and educational breakouts in four tracks: Marketing and Online Reviews, Social Media and Marketing, Personal and Professional Development, and Systems for Success. Sessions are being led by an impressive lineup of top-producing REALTORS® and subject matter experts who are industry leaders in innovation, sales and marketing and technology.

The opening keynote speaker is Mel Robbins, a top CNN contributor, best-selling author and one of the most sought after motivational speakers in the country. Robbins has an extensive television résumé as an expert on human behavior and motivation for Good Morning America, Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, Oprah, The Today Show and Fox News. She was named America’s Outstanding News Talk Show Host at the 2014 Gracie Awards.

Renowned photographer and public speaker, Platon will be the keynote speaker on day two.  Platon’s photos of world leaders and celebrities have appeared in a range of international publications including Rolling Stone, the New York Times Magazine, Vanity Fair, Esquire, GQ and Time Magazine. A gifted communicator and storyteller, he will share some of the most poignant and mesmerizing stories behind his photos.

A special session with Chris Bird, CRS, former IRS agent, REALTOR® and RRC instructor entitled “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017” will help realtors understand the new tax changes and how they impact homeowners and real estate investors.  Top producer, motivational speaker and immediate RRC Past President Leigh Brown, CRS, will lead a discussion among real estate top producers who hold the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation during the closing session entitled, “CRS Soundbites and Opinions.”

RRC is also offering a choice of two Sell-a-bration® Pre-Conference Courses on Sunday, February 4th the day before the conference. “How Technology Can Ruin Your Real Estate Business” provides strategies to navigate through the world of legal, online and social media threats. “Transforming Difficult Situations into Profitable Deals” offers tools, systems and techniques to convert difficult encounters into mutually beneficial outcomes.

The cost for Sell-a-bration is $679 for RRC members, and $729 for non-members. Each Pre-Conference course is worth eight hours of education credit toward the CRS Designation. Both are available at $150 for RRC Members, and $180 for non-members. Participants can register for the Pre-Conference Programs separately from Sell-a-bration. ®
