Resonance Students Excelled in KVPY 2011-2012...Total 124 Selections

Online, December 8, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Kota : It's a dream come true for 124 KVPY-stage 1 winners from Resonance Eduventures Pvt. Ltd. (REPL), Resonance's Classroom Contact Programmes have once again raised a good number of students to successfully cross the First Stage (Written Test) of Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY), conducted on October 30, 2011.

A total of 2102 students from Class XI & XII have been selected for the Final Stage which will be the Personal Interview. It includes 940 students from Class XI & 1162 students from Class XII. From Resonance a total of 38 students selected are from class XI and 42 from class XII out of which 20 students of class XI & 23 students of XII are from Kota Study Centre. Similarly, from Jaipur Study Centre, 10 students of class XI & 8 students of class XII have been selected. 8 students of Class XI & 10 students of Class XII have also been selected from Institute's Lucknow, Nagpur, Mumbai, Delhi, Udaipur & Bhopal Study Centres respectively. All the selected students are from Regular Classroom Contact Programmes of Resonance. A total of 42 students (41 from Class XI and 01 from Class XII) from Distance Learning Programmes and 2 from e-LPD(e-learning Programme Division)of Resonance have also cleared the first stage of the exam.

KVPY is a program administered by Indian Institute of Science (IISc, Bengaluru) & funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) of Government of India. The program aims to identify & encourage talented students with aptitude for Research & Development in Basic Sciences, Engineering & Medicine. The students of Class XI, XII & undergraduate can appear in this examination. The Exam is conducted in two stages. Stage -I is a Written Aptitude Test. Based on the performance in the aptitude test, candidates are called for the interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure. Approximately 200 students from each Class (XI & XII) are selected for the Final Fellowship after the Interview.For Class XI students, the fellowship is only given when they pursue under graduate course in basic science.For class XII students the fellowship is only given when the students opt for research in Basic Sciences, Engineering & Medicine field.
