RetailConnections Fall Summit Slated for Sept. 23-25, 2012

Peer-to-peer networking event returns to San Diego venue, where senior retail leaders from all classes of trade gather to share learning, new insights.

RetailConnections Third Annual Fall Business Executive Summit returns to San Diego next year with the U.S. Naval Base and Coronado Island providing an inspiring backdrop.

The Summit will be held Sept. 23-25, 2012, at Hotel Del Coronado, according to Marc Millstein, president of RetailConnections. Guests and sponsors at this year's Summit said the "Hotel Del" was an ideal setting for high-level business discussions and this feedback drove the decision to return, he added.

"It's an excellent venue to network and exchange ideas with peers," said Summit attendee Joe Roisman, executive vice president, Perry Ellis International.

Another attendee, Lisa Gregg, account executive at Chanel, said the Summit format provides a variety of sessions and activities that encourage interactivity among retail executives. "We are often in such insulated daily environments," she said. "The Summit offers an opportunity to experience the 'big picture' in retail and to stay current in this ever-changing industry."

Millstein said it is the eclectic mix of retailers that make for such a dynamic atmosphere for sharing insights. Retail attendees hail from all verticals including department store, grocery, big box, drug, specialty, and from all departments including marketing, merchandising, information technology, e-commerce, supply chain, finance, store operations and more.

The September 2012 Fall Summit agenda will cover a wide range of business-critical issues and presentations will be led by senior retail executives. Among the topics to be covered are omnichannel retailing, mobile commerce, social networking, marketing, financial ROI, cloud computing, innovative store design and customer engagement through general sessions, workshops and various networking activities such as a golf scramble.

The Summit is designed for senior-level (VP and CXO) retail and brand executives and seating is limited. For more information on attendance, agenda and registration, contact Denise Power, 773 573-3939 or Marc Millstein 914 620-5947 or visit www.retailconnections.com
