Retired NYPD Embarks on 7th Film

Online, September 4, 2014 (Newswire.com) - After retiring from the NY Police Department, Stanulis started a new career and embarked on a dream that he had while serving on the NYPD, to be an actor. In his latest film, The Networker’s cast consists of Hollywood notables - Stephen Baldwin, Sean Young, William Foresyte, Alicia Reiner and Staten Island resident Jeremy Luke who was in Don John, and Jersey Boys.

Steven Stanulis retired from the police department in 2002.  His passion for acting and honing his craft comes to fruition with “The Networker”.  Paying homage to his home town, some of the scenes were filmed on location in Staten Island and throughout NYC. Filming was done in Howard Beach, Bensonhurst, Astoria, Staten Island, the Lower East Side, and the Time Life Building in Times Square, NYC. Award winning Director John Gallagher is directing the film.

Mr. Stanulis also owns a talent management company named Stanulis & Associates, located in NYC.

“This film brings my craft to the next level because “The Networker” is a romantic comedy that can reach a broader audience,” said Steven Stanulis. “I am expecting twins any day now, and I want to be able to watch a movie with my children. This movie is the type of movie that all audiences can enjoy,” continued Stanulis.

After retiring from the NYPD as a decorated officer, Steve Stanulis became a security consultant. During this tenure he provided security to a host of international superstars. It was during this time he was encouraged to begin his career as an actor. Through this encouragement he made his debut performance on “The Sopranos, ” which led to additional acting credits in the movie “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.”

He has now branched out into producing with his film, “The Invisible Life of Thomas Lynch,” which won the Audience Award for best film, beating, “Paranormal Activity” and “Men Who Stare At Goats,” and was also nominated for best actor finishing second to George Clooney. His latest film, “What Women Do Before They Walk Down The Aisle,” is currently with three major networks and is in negotiations to become a network series.

In 2009 Steve started the Atlantic City International Film festival which successfully became quickly dubbed "The Sundance of the East Coast". He currently just started Stanulis Productions which just recently in negotiations to do a 20,000,000 film slate. He has just completed a new horror film "Dark Room" with Gossip girl Kaylee Defer. He is now rumored to be the lead in the new film "Long shot Louie" which he will be the lead which is currently in pre-production. In 2012 Steve Stanulis created and produced “Stripped” the play which opened 4-15-12. It has been voted the number one off Broadway play by the New York Times.
