Revolution MMA Hosts Women's & Veteran's Self Defense Seminars
Revolution MMA offers self defense events for residents of Benton, Bryant and Central Arkansas
Benton, AR, November 9, 2016 (Newswire.com) - On Saturday, November 12, 2016, Revolution MMA, located in Benton, AR, will host two back-to-back self-defense seminars for the local Benton-Bryant community.
Revolution MMA Women's Only Self Defense Seminar
Revolution MMA is located in Benton, AR and celebrates its 11th year serving the Central Arkansas community. Revolution MMA prides itself on offering World Class Instruction specifically in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing for men and women of all ages. They are offering two upcoming self defense seminars for Veterans as well as a women's only seminar.
Jory Malone, Owner
The first event of the day is a “women’s only” self defense seminar. Women across the world are facing dangerous times. There’s been a stunning increase for the first time in decades in violent and sexual crimes being perpetuated against women due to the rise of radical groups and individuals with extremist anti-Western views.
A lack of border security in the United States and the increased leverage of online social media has allowed these groups and individuals to establish a foothold in the once safe US mainland. We expect these crimes against women to accelerate until the reigns of the country are turned over to the new President Elect, Donald Trump. Trump has promised to secure the border and to crack down on the radical groups, but it will take some time to reverse the violence and restore order. At the same time women find themselves regularly in situations were they’re alone or have children they must defend in midst of these new threats.
Revolution MMA has been helping women learn the skills necessary to defend themselves and their children through teaching valuable brazilian jiu jitsu, muay thai kickboxing and mixed martial arts techniques, that not only give women the skills to defend themselves but empower them with strong, confident minds.
Through training hundreds of women at their Benton location, the coaches at Revolution MMA in Benton, AR, Jory & Abby Malone, have found women can learn these skills faster when working with other women in a safe and comfortable environment. Through their teaching and competing all over the world and at the highest levels, Jory & Abby Malone of Revolution MMA have developed a special system of tactics especially for women based on the statistics of crimes that have occurred with women and the situations they are likely to encounter.
This Saturday’s women's only self defense seminar is two hours of instruction in this special self defense system for only $25. The coaches say this training is suitable for all women from 13 years old and up. They encourage mothers, daughters, and sisters to come learn and train together.
The seminar starts at 12:00 noon, and anyone can RSVP by calling Revolution MMA at 501-776-0606 or emailing to reserve a spot at [email protected]
Revolution MMA Veteran's Benefit Seminar
After the “women’s only” self defense seminar, Revolution has another special event planed for disabled veterans in honor of the Veteran’s Day holiday weekend. Revolution has partnered with We Defy Foundation (www.WeDefyFoundation.org). The goal of this partnership with We Defy Foundation is to have a Jiu Jitsu training event, simultaneously across the country in different Jiu Jitsu gyms on the Veteran’s Day weekend to change the lives of disabled veterans.
Revolution MMA coach Jory Malone is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Champion and knows first hand how practicing BJJ can help veterans. In fact, recent studies at CENTCOM have shown Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can help veterans with PTSD, Jory will be sharing valuable life skills and techniques as well as a seminar on half guard for those who are already familiar with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training.
The event kicks off at 2:00pm at Revolution MMA in Benton, and last till 4:00pm.
