Ripley Sobo signs on to “FIREFLY WISHES”
Going Up? Productions, LLC launches Indiegogo Campaign

Malley DeSanto

NEW YORK,NY-  Going Up? Productions, LLC has commenced their newest production “Firefly Wishes”—  a timeless coming-of-age story illustrating how one loves, grows and copes with loss in life.
The short-film will have no dialogue- instead, it will be narrated entirely by music. The producers hope that the absence of conversation will allow viewers to connect with the character on a higher emotional level.
The film chronicles a young girl, Hannah, who recently lost her father. She struggles to adapt to the changes in her life as she is forced to grow up overnight. After she makes a wish, a firefly appears and takes her on a magical journey in which she questions if her father has really left her at all.
The role of Hannah will be portrayed by Ripley Sobo. At such a young age, Ripley has already worked opposite Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Connelly, Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck and Susan Sarandon. Her films have included Steve Jobs (Universal), Batman vs. Superman (WB), Ricki and the Flash (Sony/Tri-Star), Winter's Tale (WB) and Kid Witness. She has also played two leading roles on Broadway;Matilda, directed by Matthew Warchus and Once, directed by John Tiffany.

Going Up? Productions is an all-female company, specializing in the combination of puppetry and practical effects with computer generated imagery (CGI). Using CGI, the production team will be able to seamlessly blend Hannah’s World with magical elements.
In order to create the highest quality film possible, Going Up? Productions, LLC has launched an Indiegogo Campaign and has set a goal to raise $17,800. The award-winning team is extremely passionate about film and are contributing their time and abilities to make this dream a reality.
