ROAR for Good, the social impact B-corporation helping reduce the incidence of attacks against women, will be hosting a free screening of The Hunting Ground movie on April 6th at Temple University’s Center City campus.

Using devastatingly raw, first-person testimonies and expert insights, this powerful documentary reveals how colleges and universities around the country have covered up student reports of sexual assault.

"Sexual assaults on college campuses and around the world are an urgent issue, and much more work needs to be done. We believe getting people to view this film and open discussions on this painful topic is a start to decreasing the violence."

Yasmine Mustafa, ROAR for Good co-founder & CEO

According to the Campus Sexual Assault (CSA) study, one in five women are sexually assaulted while in college. Similarly, a Washington Post - Kaiser Family Foundation poll found that 25% of young women suffered unwanted sexual incidents in college.

“Sexual assaults on college campuses and around the world are an urgent issue, and much more work needs to be done. We believe getting people to view this film and open discussions on this painful topic is a start to decreasing the violence,” said ROAR for Good co-founder & CEO, Yasmine Mustafa.

ROAR for Good created Athena, fashionable jewelry that can help deter an attack while instantly calling for help. The company invests a percentage of proceeds from all Athena sales into nonprofits that are teaching empathy, respect, and healthy relationships to youth - programs which have been shown to decrease violence in adulthood.

“This film is both tragic and empowering - leaving viewers with a much greater appreciation for the struggles so many people suffer through. The courageous student activists highlighted in the movie, and countless others around the world, inspire all of us to transformative action,” said Anthony Gold, ROAR for Good co-founder.

Co-sponsoring this event – and sharing in ROAR’s mission of empowerment and reducing assaults – include Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern PA, Karen Griffith-Gryga, Ellen Weber, Delphine Carroll with The Drew Talone Team at Keller Williams Realty-Wayne, and SparkNET Technologies.

The movie screening will be held at 1515 Market Street (Room 222) from 6-9 pm on April 6th. Free food and beverages will be provided for attendees. Visit ( bit.ly/roar-hg ) for tickets.
