Rock Guitarist Announces Candidacy for California State Senate
Los Angeles County Rock Guitarist Announces Candidacy for California State Senate, District 20 seat.
Online, April 1, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Van Nuys resident, and noted rock musician, Adrian Galysh, announced his candidacy for State Senate, District 20 for the November 2, 2010 election. Galysh's candidacy is his response to California's ever growing government, which is driving away businesses with high taxes, and becoming a burden to its citizens with increased sales taxes, annual vehicle license fees, state income taxes, and gross overspending.
"Both the governor, and the legislature have proven to be incapable of responsibly managing the state budget, let alone provide basic government services in an efficient manner", adding, "but, most of all, California's current government, whether Republican or Democrat, has a horrible spending problem, with nothing to show for their $600 billion deficit."
Besides Galysh's goals of reducing taxes and greatly cutting government spending, his campaign will focus on providing increased competition in:
1. Public services.
2. Education, "Californians should have their public funds returned as a voucher, or a tax deduction, so they are empowered to make education choices for their own children from a competing array of schools."; and
3. Healthcare, where Galysh would, "Repeal all the state laws that restrict choice in consumer's insurance policy options, and make all medical expenses deductible on their income tax return, so their employer can raise their salary instead of providing insurance coverage - letting Californians choose the health care system most appropriate for them, deducting the cost directly from their state income tax."
Adrian Galysh is running as a Libertarian candidate, because "Adrian wants to empower you to live your life as you want to live it, not as the Republican and Democratic politicians think is best."
