Kristin Pawlik, of Keith, Miller, Butler, Schneider & Pawlik, PLLC, Accepted Appointment to Foundation Board

Kristin Pawlik, of Northwest Arkansas law firm Keith, Miller, Butler, Schneider & Pawlik (K.M.B.S.P), with locations in Rogers and Fayetteville, has accepted an appointment to represent the Arkansas Bar Association (ABA) on the Arkansas Access to Justice Foundation (AAJF) board.

Pawlik was appointed to the board by Denise Hoggard, president of the ABA. The appointment is effective immediately and is a three-year term.

The Arkansas Access to Justice Foundation, Inc., is the non-profit sister organization to the Arkansas Access to Justice Commission. The Foundation manages Arkansas's Interest On Lawyers’ Trust Accounts (IOLTA) program and makes grants to support equal access to civil justice. The Arkansas Supreme Court created the Arkansas IOLTA program in 1984 to provide funds for legal aid to the poor, for student loans and scholarships and for projects that improve the administration of justice.

The 15-member board meets quarterly and oversees administration of the IOLTA program, engages in fundraising and more. The AAJF has disbursed more than 12 million dollars in grants to support civil legal aid since its establishment. The board consists of five committees including: an executive committee, a governance committee, a grant committee, a finance committee and a resource development committee.

Pawlik is a partner at K.M.B.S.P and concentrates her practice in the areas of domestic relations, family law, criminal defense and employment law. Pawlik is also a member of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association and the Arkansas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She was elected to the Arkansas Bar Association’s House of Delegates and currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Association.

The ABA is a voluntary, statewide association with more than 5,000 attorney members. The ABA and its members participate in a variety of programs and services with the purpose of advancing the administration of justice in Arkansas and fostering high ideals of integrity, learning and public service.

Keith, Miller, Butler, Schneider & Pawlik, PLLC, is a unique firm with attorneys handling a wide variety of cases spanning from prescription drug injuries, serious car and tractor trailer collisions, tax law, banking, wills and trusts to business law. The firm also hosts attorneys who are recognized statewide for their work in criminal defense and divorce cases.

K.M.B.S.P congratulates Pawlik on the honor of representing the ABA on the AAJF board.
