"What the Keno's offer which stands out is the inclusion of a designer's perspective on select lots. This really hammers home the importance of the underlying artistic and design elements of the fine motorcars they have up for auction"

Marc Sharinn, Co-Founder, Rolling Art Advisors

"What the Keno's offer which stands out is the inclusion of a designer's perspective on select lots. This really hammers home the importance of the underlying artistic and design elements of the fine motorcars they have up for auction", noted Rolling Art Advisors Co-Founder Marc Sharinn.  " We appreciate their focusing the spotlight on the artistic elements of car design, which we thinks help underscore the true values of classic cars and furthers the case for them as good investments."

Over 60 years ago New York's Museum of Modern Art displayed the "Eight Automobiles," exhibit, which in the words of then-MOMA curator of architecture Arthur Drexler, proclaimed that automobiles should be viewed as "rolling sculpture.”  To paraphrase famed coachbuilder Sergio Pininfarina, cars were born old, ‘baroque or gothic’.  In the decades which have passed since the MOMA’s groundbreaking exhibit, elements of automotive form and function have converged, leading the to the creation of more perfect and ultimately, beautiful forms. Two fine examples are the Lamborghini Miura P400 S and the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 both of which will be on display and for sale at the upcoming auction.

“We feel that classic cars should be seen in their proper light, as a type of Rolling Art and our happy that the Kenos share our view,’” stated Co-Founder Sharinn. "We think New York City as always, will prove to be ahead of the curve in terms of their early recognition of classic cars as Rolling Art and will welcome the Kenos with open arms and bidding paddles held high”.
