ABIM works to enhance the quality of health care by certifying internists and subspecialists who demonstrate the knowledge, skills and attitudes essential for excellent patient care. Physicians must periodically complete requirements to maintain their certification, including passing an examination and completing a self-assessment of knowledge and practice.
Dr. Primas is a travel medicine expert and is doubly credentialed in Travel Medicine by the leading national and international organizations in Travel Health. He is certified in Clinical Tropical Medicine and Travelers' Health from the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and certified in Travel Medicine from the International Society of Travel Medicine. Dr. Primas is a board-certified and doubly re-certified internist, a preventive medicine specialist, and a Fellow in the American College of Physicians and the American College of Preventive Medicine.
