Miss Candy Chambers launches Fifty Forever!

"I'm an authentic success because I'm more than my past, I'm my present, and my present to you is a big gift wrapped box full of sweet wisdom that'll make you think about how hard it can get."

2014 welcomes the second coming of international sensation Miss Candy Chambers as she celebrates being 'Fifty Forever!'

Chattanooga, USA, New Years Eve 2013 - The star spangled chanteuse Candy Chambers announced her return to Australia with a new all singing, all dancing spectacular, celebrating being 50 (the new 30!). After her last appearance in Australia wowed 2013 Adelaide Cabaret Festival audiences as one of Joey Aria's special guests Chambers decided time was ripe to play down under again.
Since sharing her deliciously flavoured life-story in the crowd pleasing show "Bittersweet" at the 2006 Adelaide Feast Festival, Chambers has reached a climactic peak. Announcing the launch of her new production Miss Chambers said, "Over the years I often wondered, as I'm sure we all do, if I'd ever reach fifty years of age, and I knew if I did mount that enormous peak there would be cause for celebration… Well, against all the odds I finally did land, slap bang, right on that sticky point and it's been such a great climax I've planted myself firmly on it ever since. You'd have to work seriously hard to get me off!"

Formally considered to be 'America's underground sweetheart' Candy Chambers has had many highs and lows in a career spanning some of the most colourful decades society has seen. From humble origins in Chattanooga, Candy came to be a much awarded player in the adult movie industry appearing in a variety of sought after positions. Recipient of an Aladdin's cave of awards and seeking to fulfil her deep desire to transition from adult entertainment to the legitimate stage Candy took a lot of hard blows, but her proud honesty and positive attitude towards life finally paid off as she explained at her launch,

"Yes I have been rehabilitated by 'the man' as they say, and although I don't discuss it so much these days I'm not ashamed of doing time in the correctional system," she says.

"The tabloid press tried to drag me through the mud, but my public are better than that, they understand who I am and why I'm proud to be a woman with a past, because that's exactly what it is, past; ask Oprah, she'll tell you. I'm an authentic success because I'm more than my past, I'm my present, and my present to you is a big gift wrapped box full of sweet wisdom that'll make you think about how hard it can get. You know it can get hard but no matter how hard it gets it's not impossible to ride on towards a happy ending," said Candy.

"Fifty Forever celebrates reaching that pinnacle in life you were not convinced you'd reach because of all those hard things trying to pin you down. It's uplifting, it's fun, it's a chance to share my sunny disposition and show off my abilities to overcome adversity. I'm taking my audience sightseeing on the best route I can possibly navigate. I touch on some of those hard sticky points, but before we're done I push my envelope to a very happy place, so happy you'll all want to be Fifty Forever!"
