Roundtable Analytics Voted 'Best Emerging Startup' at WRAL's TechWire Event
RALEIGH, N.C., May 10, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Roundtable Analytics, Inc., a fast-growing company that provides full-spectrum data analytics to Emergency Departments (EDs), was named 2017’s “Best Emerging Startup” from among a highly competitive and diverse class of early-stage companies operating in the Triangle region of North Carolina. WRAL’s TechWire event, held at Google Fiber’s new Raleigh headquarters, was the 5th annual celebration of successes from the local technology entrepreneur community.
“We were pleased to have been named a finalist in the competition and are delighted to have won the award,” remarked Roundtable CEO Tate Holt. “This area has fostered a large number of successful technology entrepreneurs, and it’s great to be welcomed into their ranks.”
“Roundtable Analytics solves an incredibly challenging problem in the field of healthcare," noted Holt. "Emergency Departments are already overcrowded, and anticipated changes in healthcare legislation will only increase this problem.”
“Hospitals have made enormous investments in their Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems,” Holt continued, “Our predictive analytics leverage the massive amounts of data created by that investment and reduce the amount of time patients must wait for care in Emergency Departments. ED leadership teams can now make changes to the way they run their operations based on data, not trial and error, and our customers have achieved million-dollar benefits as a result.”
Roundtable Analytics’ Emergency Department Strategy Lab, which launched commercially in 2016, enables ED leadership teams to manage their operations using data analytics. North Carolina hospitals relying on Roundtable’s software and services include Vidant Medical Center and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill — two academic, Level I Trauma Centers that treat the region’s most acute patients while training the next generation of emergency medicine physicians.
