Royal Wedding Marks the Perfect Time to Visit London

Online, March 4, 2011 (Newswire.com) - It was fitting that the announcement Prince Harry would fill the role at his brother Prince William's wedding this April came on Valentine's Day (February 14th). It came at the same time his bride-to be Kate Middleton revealed that her sister Pippa is set to be the maid of honour.

Visit London reports the mayor as saying that there will be a really exciting atmosphere in the city during the celebrations. And with world-famous London attractions to also keep visitors occupied during their stay, there may be no better time to see what the capital has to offer.

Mr Johnson asserts that whether you decide "to spend a week, the weekend or just come for an overnight stay, London promises a warm welcome and an unrivalled array of hotels, restaurants, shops, museums and major attractions to ensure a truly memorable experience".

Chairman of the London Regional Committee of the British Hospitality Association Ciaran Fahy said: "London has a huge range of value accommodation and with our excellent transport links people can find exceptional value rates a few Tube or bus stops away from the centre of London, particularly in Docklands and in either east or west London.

"It's worth remembering that Buckingham Palace is only 40 minutes from Heathrow."

He added that many five-star hotels that are found near Buckingham Palace are only offering packages where people have to stay for a set number of nights.

However, this could provide you with plenty of time to not only catch the royal wedding, but also to explore some of the other things to do in London.

Buckingham Palace is one place you may not want to miss whether a royal wedding is taking place in the capital or not.
With 775 rooms, the palace has been the official home of Britain's sovereigns since 1837.

Other royal London attractions include St James's Palace, Clarence House - the official residency of Princes Charles, Harry and William and the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker Bowles - and Kensington Palace.
