Rustic Steel Creations Announces The Grand Opening Of Their First Retail Store

Online, June 23, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Rustic Steel Creations, an art studio which transforms scrap metal into works of art, announced they will hold an open house party to celebrate the debut of their new retail store 'Industrial Chic.' The grand opening party will be held on June 30, 2011 from 6 to 9 p.m., at their retail location on 101 N. 12th St. in Tampa, one block from their studio.

"The party will be a fun little get together," said Cara Murphy, Marketing Director of Rustic Steel. "We'll have food, wine and music and people will have the chance to take home a part of what we do every day."

Industrial Chic features everything from furniture to candle holders, wall hangings, wine racks, mirrors and lamps for sale to the public. Each piece is handcrafted and one-of-a-kind. Rustic Steel notes if you can dream it up, they'll find a way to craft it for you.

"If customers don't see what they are looking for in the store, they can schedule an appointment with us so we can conspire and create their original design," said Murphy.

In addition to metal masterpieces, artwork from local painters and photographers will be available for purchase. Murphy happens to be one of the artists who will have her photography featured in the store. Dawn Gonsalves, a painter, and Julie Corrance, a photographer, will also have the opportunity to display their work for sale.

Steel Artist Dominique Martinez opened the Rustic Steel Creations studio 8 years ago. Since then, he's constructed original pieces made from recycled steel and iron including a statue for the 2009 Super Bowl hosted in Tampa and the 2011 Eastern Conference Champions, the Tampa Bay Lightning.

With the opening of Industrial Chic, Tampa residents will be able to decorate their homes and businesses with Martinez's unique designs. The store is now open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Mondays by appointment.
