Rx Partnership Awarded Grant From the Mary Washington Hospital to Support Medication Access at Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic

The clinic has accessed more than $23.9 million worth of free medication and assisted over 6,200 patients with the help of nonprofit Rx Partnership and the financial support of the Mary Washington Hospital and other funders

Rx Partnership, a statewide nonprofit dedicated to accessing free medications for the uninsured, was recently awarded a grant from the Mary Washington Hospital to support services to the Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic. Since 2004, the ongoing relationship between Rx Partnership (RxP) and Moss Clinic has resulted in over 6,200 low-income uninsured patients at the clinic accessing more than $23.9 million worth of free medications to treat variety of chronic and acute conditions.  Lloyd Moss Free Clinic dispenses the most RxP medications of all partnering affiliate clinics throughout Virginia.

The financial grant support provided in the past and the new grant recently announced from the Mary Washington Hospital Foundation makes access to important and lifesaving medication possible for approximately 1,500 residents of the greater Fredericksburg community every year.  Rx Partnership’s innovative approach provides free access to a variety of medications from six partner pharmaceutical companies in order to stock the shelves of the pharmacy and make medications quickly and easily available to eligible patients.

Rx Partnership is very proud to be able to partner with Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic. With the help of our financial supporters like Mary Washington Hospital, thousands of uninsured patients have access to vital medications to help them improve their health and lead longer and better lives.

RxP is valuable because it allows us to provide millions of dollars’ worth of prescription medication to our patients on a thousands of dollars budget!” said Karen Dulaney, Executive Director of Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic.  “Having RxP products on our formulary means products are readily available for our patients and this helps improve their overall compliance and often keeps patients out of the hospital.”
