Sacramento Movers Add Two New Movers To The Crew
Online, November 6, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Summer is over and with it the busy season for home moving comes to a close. However rather than cutting hours for employees, Sacramento Moving Company has hired on two new movers. The company had a busier-than-ever October with their crew being fully utilized on non-peak move days. The additional crew members will open up availability allowing the company to book more moves at peak moving times such as weekends and the beginning and end of the month, rather than turning away customers who want to move with the company but cannot due to a full schedule of moves.
Sacramento Movers' newest employees both came from American River College in Sacramento. Dave had studied psychology there before getting a job as a mover. He said he is excited to be in a position where he can "help people." In his spare time, Dave enjoys poetry as a hobby. The second new face at Sacramento Moving Company is Phil. Prior to getting a job as a mover Phil studied professional audio engineering at American River College. A true musician at heart, Phil spends his free time playing electric guitar. He decided to get a job as a mover because he needed a legitimate, full time job, which would be hard to find in the field of audio engineering.
Training for the new movers began on November sixth with a morning of watching instructional training videos. One of Sacramento Moving Company's key trainers, Michael, lead the new employees through the training day including reviewing the training manual that all the company's employees must know prior to going out on a job. The afternoon was filled with hands on training in the company's warehouse, where the new crew members learned how to properly pad and stretch wrap all furniture items and carefully load them on the truck. One thing that sets Sacramento Movers apart from other moving companies is the fact that each new hire spends extensive time in the warehouse learning and practicing how to properly protect both the customer's belongings and the facility.
