Indeed, it is words of traditional wisdom like this that resonated deep within the hearts of a few committed individuals, and gave birth to the beacon of social awareness which is the Make A Difference Foundation (MADF) at IMT Ghaziabad.

Sahyog, an MADF initiative, is an event where the students and faculty of IMT Ghaziabad come together to donate clothes to the needy, thereby sharing some much-needed warmth. This year on the 15th of August, the tradition laid down by MADF was continued with large-heartedness. With generous assistance from the students, faculty and volunteers, we were able to collect, pack and distribute over 1200 clothes, winter-wear, bed sheets, towels and toys to the less fortunate. In addition to this, light refreshments were also provided to those receiving the clothes.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Subhajit Bhattacharyya, set the ball rolling by initiating the act of kindness on behalf of IMT. Also lending their valuable time and efforts were the Academic Placement Officer, Mr. B. C. Bahuguna and Mr.S. K.Goel.In addition, IMT alumnus Nishant Singh and erstwhile member of MADF, Kshitij Gupta,were also present.

The MADF team had earlier visited the areas in the vicinity of the campus to distribute coupons and invite the needy.

"Issaalbhi de rahehaikya, mai bohotsaal se aata reheta hu. Aapke paas abhi bhi ek parchi hai kya?", asked a rickshawwallah who ferried one of our MADF team members.

The labourers working inside the campus and blue-collar employees were also included in the initiative. The overwhelming response left us speechless, owing to the increasing popularity and awareness about the initiative. This was exemplified by some people who brought the coupons securely wrapped in plastic covers. That showed us how precious even one pair of clothes is, in their eyes. The smiles on their faces and the glow of contentment in their eyes was an instant and lasting reward for all the hard effort that Team MADF put in for this event.

The scale of Sahyog continues to increase every year. The generosity on the part of the IMT G fraternity helped us realise the true meaning of "Sahyog" - Cooperation.
