Saint Barnabas Health Care System Expands Sentri7 Use to Infection Prevention
Surveillance Software Expedites Clinician Workflow to Track and Report HAIs
Online, May 31, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Wolters Kluwer Health announced today that Saint Barnabas Health Care System in New Jersey has added on the Infection Prevention Module of Sentri7 for the system's surveillance and reporting needs.
Sentri7 web-based software can help streamline infection prevention workflows including isolation management, healthcare-associated infection (HAI) investigation and National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) reporting.
"We are customizing screens that will enhance our daily workflow to expedite the management of isolation, surveillance and data," said Eileen Yaney, Director of Infection Control and Prevention for Saint Barnabas Medical Center. "What I like about Sentri7 is that the application is flexible to our needs and will help 'fit' our reams of data into screens that are easily managed."
Sentri7 gives hospital staff a single point of access to lab results, medication records and patient demographics, data that previously resided in different systems. Customized rules run against the data to identify and flag at-risk patients.
Five facilities in Saint Barnabas Health System are adopting the Infection Prevention Module. The system's pharmacy departments purchased the Sentri7 Pharmacy Module in February 2008.
