Samaritan Reaches 15,000-Household Milestone

Online, August 16, 2010 (Newswire.com) - PEORIA, IL--Samaritan Ministries, a health care sharing ministry, recently reached the 15,000-household milestone and expects that the members will share more than $40 million in medical needs in 2010, according to vice president James Lansberry.

"We are excited, as always, to see the growing number of Christians who want to be a part of this innovative, faith-based health care ministry," ministry vice president James Lansberry said. "Because of the growth this year, we're now sharing more than $3.6 million every month in medical needs.

The increased numbers will not decrease the emphasis on personal attention Samaritan gives to its members, though.

"As always we will continue to strive to provide Biblically based and personal service to each and every one of our 15,000 member households," Lansberry said. "Our members will still get a live, friendly voice when they call during business hours for prayer or some other need, and our members will still be recognized by name and not by a 10- or 16-digit account number. This is part of who we are, and who we will continue to strive to be."
