Sangam University Bhilwara India Inks MoU with University of Wolverhampton UK
Bhilwara, India, January 25, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Sangam University established under Section 2(f) of UGC Act. 1956 incorporated by Government of Rajasthan Act No. 14 of 2012 is located at Bhilwara on the NH-79,Bhilwara Chittor By- Pass in the famed Mewar Region of Rajasthan. This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sangam University and Lodz University of Technology has been signed with the objective of fostering collaboration between the two institutions to promote academic and research interactions as well as scientific cooperation. The two institutions have agreed to explore and implement mutually rewarding viable initiatives focused on, among others, areas of academic cooperation which include Student exchange for study, research, or work internships; Collaborative research; Co-sponsorship of academic projects, and conferences; Sharing of scientific information on areas of mutual interest; Development of special academic programs of mutual interest as well as other academic collaboration including curriculum and faculty exchange.
A Coordination Committee consisting of President (Vice-Chancellor) Sangam University as Convener and the Vice Chancellor University of Wolverhampton, as Co-convener and two nominees each from both the institutions would coordinate and monitor the academic and research programmes and all related operational matters within the framework of the academic regulations and the objectives outlined by both the institutions. This MoU came into effect upon signature of both the institutions with effect from 24 January 2015 and will remain in force for a period of Six (6) years. The MoU may be extended for another period on mutually agreeable terms and conditions or terminated when either institution sends a written notice to the other twelve months prior.
The MoU was signed by Prof BR Natarajan President (Vice Chancellor) on behalf of Sangam University and Professor Geoff Layer Vice Chancellor (who was awarded the OBE for services to higher education in 2003) on behalf of University of Wolverhampton, UK.
