Santa Hunt Day 10: Miracle On 34th Street

Despite his best efforts, and directing his team to trawl through a wealth of Social Networking sites, leading investigator Ted Burns is still no closer to finding Santa Claus. He needs a miracle and fast. Will sidekick Robin come up with the answer?

Ted Burns is an investigative journalist with a news sense so sharp it can pierce a three year old piece of fruitcake wrapped in a plutonium jumpsuit in just six weeks. And he is searching for Santa Claus, wanted for crimes against elves, goblins and parking attendants, and now thought to be trading under the name "Reindeer Rasputin". But despite his best efforts - and hiring a team of expert researchers to scour YouTube, Wikipedia and Friends Reunited - Ted is further off the scent than a beagle with a species-shaming olfaction deficiency.

Put simply, Ted needs a miracle. The sort of miracle normally associated with what he once knew as Christmas, before things got a bit Oliver Cromwell all of a sudden. But will a phone call from Robin, his faithful assistant, finally allow Ted to grab the hessian sack, the gaffer tape, as well as his extra-large hammer, and hit the jackpot? Or has Robin just accidentally sat on his phone on the bus again?

About Keen City

Keen City's name is derived from a verse in the poem The Moon's A Balloon by E.E. Cummings, which talks about a place full of pretty people, where everyone is in love and flowers pick themselves. The company is, however, based in London, which falls short of this description in at least a couple of ways. Possibly more. Especially when you're on the Tube. Nasty business.

The company's first short film, Alleyman, won the British Lion Award for Achievement at the British Independent Film Awards, 2011, and received an honourable mention at this year's Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. Another short, Darkest Before Dawn, premiered at the Cannes Short Film Corner in May 2011. A project of similar length, The Tyrant's Cup, is currently in post-production, and Keen City's first feature film, The Cult, is currently at the financing stage. The Keen City team is also working on a number of exciting television projects. Stay tuned.
