Santa Monica Businesses Share Their Insight At 2011 State Of The City

Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce hosts its third inception of State of the City. This year business owners will hear from other local businesses on how they are surviving and thriving in Santa Monica.

Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce hosts its third inception of State of the City for 2011 on Thursday, January 27th from 7:30 am to 10:00 am at the Eli & Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica. This year business owners will hear from other local businesses on how they are surviving and thriving in Santa Monica. Panelists include Activision, Agensys, The Lobster Restaurant, Revolution Fitness and Santa Monica Place.

"The State of the City is a central vehicle in ensuring the continual advancement of doing business in Santa Monica," said Laurel Rosen, President of Santa Monica Chamber. "Because of the fundamental link between a thriving city and its economy, our in-depth discussions unveil timely insights for businesses and residents alike."

In addition, Rod Gould, City Manager and Brad Cox, Chair of the Santa Monica Alliance will give a preview of the landscape-changing year for 2011. Topics of discussion include new city and chamber services, capital improvement projects, and circulation plans that will ensure Santa Monica as the premier destination for business. This year's State of the City will be honoring Santa Monica Place with the 2010 Economic Excellence Award during the event.
