Sara Bareilles, Tori Amos and the Ajuku Girls Band Together in Songs For Love For Japan

Celebrity music artists Sara Bareilles, Tori Amos and the Ajuku Girls release compilation CD to benefit Japan disaster relief.

Songs of Love for Japan (SOLFJ) All Star is a compilation album of great music for a great cause. Leading artists include Sara Bareilles, Tori Amos and the Ajuku Girls. The goal of compilation is to present music lovers a CD of beautiful music as a love song to Japan and to jointly raise $250,000 in donation to ShelterBox. These funds will be donated to Shelter Box to support Japan relief from the devastation caused by a 9.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Japan in March, 2011.

Songs of Love for Japan includes alternative rocker Tori Amos' original song, 500 Miles; grammy nominated Sara Bareilles' LIVE recording of Hold My Heart and the quirky American Japanese pop group known as the Ajuku Girls' original release of Tokyo Drift.

ShelterBox, is a non-profit organization who was on the ground and one of the first international aid agencies to arrive in Japan in less than 24hours after the earthquake struck March 11, 2011. ShelterBox currently has nearly 1,000 boxes in Japan with hundreds more to be deployed. Every $1,000 raised through Songs of Love for Japan will enable ShelterBox to deliver emergency shelter and lifesaving equipment to an afflicted family. A ShelterBox typically includes a tent, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children's activity pack and other essential items.
