On Saturday, April 30, R.E.S.T.O.R.E. Worldwide, Inc. is hosting "Restaurer la Vie II" a Mixer & Art Auction at Johnny's Fine Foods and Spirits, 7807 Market Street, in Boardman, Ohio from 7:30 pm until 10:30pm. The goal of the event is to raise funds to support R.E.S.T.O.R.E. and its team of medical professionals in their effort to restore hope and lives across the globe.
R.E.S.T.O.R.E. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit medical service organization that provides free reconstructive surgery and related medical services to abused children and battered individuals with accidental and congenital deformities.
Dr. Obeng has developed a team of specialized healthcare professionals across the country to accompany him to Ghana from May 20 - June 5, 2011. This will be R.E.S.T.O.R.E.'s third official mission trip.
Founded in 2008, R.E.S.T.O.R.E. is a vision of hope brought to reality by St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center's Chief of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Michael K. Obeng. Focusing on "Restoring Emotional Stability Through Outstanding Reconstructive Efforts", Dr. Obeng has traveled to Ghana in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and to Guatemala in 2010 offering his services to disfigured and functionally impaired individuals that do not have the resources and or money to receive reconstructive services. On these mission trips, Dr. Obeng focuses on teaching local surgeons reconstructive techniques.
This fundraiser will feature art from Ghana. Additionally, internationally renowned artist Ray Simon will unveil a preliminary pencil rendering of his soon to be released painting "THE CRUCIFIXION". There will be 500 canvas "giclee" hand painted/remarked beautifully framed 20"x30" pieces available for auction/purchase worldwide. Proceeds of this work will be directed to the efforts and financial support of R.E.S.T.O.R.E.'s mission.
The tickets for the event are $100 per person and $175 per couple. To purchase tickets to the event and/or to make a donation, please contact us at 1-888-399-0794 or email us at [email protected].
