Save the Date: UPW Micro 2011 Planned for Nov. 2-3
Online, August 10, 2011 (Newswire.com) - ULTRAPURE WATER Micro(UPW Micro) will focus on key issues related to water used in the semiconductor, flat panel display, and solar industries. The annual conference will be conducted November 2-3 at the Red Lion Hotel on Jantzen Beach in Portland, Ore.
The opening session will include a presentation on business aspects of the water and microelectronics industries that will be followed by technical papers on key issues related to semiconductor-grade high-purity water treatment. ULTRAPURE WATER Micro began in 1998, and has been conducted in Portland, Austin, and Phoenix over the years.
The 2011 meeting will have sessions covering these four areas:
*Emerging Needs for Semiconductor and PV Manufacturing
*Technology Development/Innovation'
*Water Management
*Metrology
Among specific technical paper topics to be addressed include ion-exchange resin selection, reverse osmosis system design, trace urea removal, sustainable water management programs, sensor technology advances, particle removal, water recovery, and organics speciation in semiconductor water.
There is still space for a small number of additional presentations. Interested authors may submit technical papers to Mike Henley at [email protected]. An abstract submission form is available at http://www.talloaks.com/Conferences/PDF/CallForPapersMicro2011.pdf.
Information about the conference is available at the ULTRAPURE WATER On-Line home page (www.ultrapurewater.com). Information about tabletop exhibits is available from Frank Slejko at 303/973-6700 or at [email protected]. On-line registration is available at http://www.ultrapurewater.com/ZENCART/.
ULTRAPURE WATER journal is a monthly on-line journal that covers the business and technology of water treatment. The journal also offers technical books on different water treatment subjects, and will be conducting the WATER EXECUTIVE Forum at the annual WQA Aquatech conference in Las Vegas next March, and ULTRAPURE WATER Asia 2012 in Singapore next July. More information about the journal, conferences, or the on-line bookstore is available at http://www.ultrapurewater.com.
Several books offered by the ULTRAPURE WATER On-Line bookstore focus on the particular water treatment needs in the semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries. Those books are: "Electronics Grade Water Preparation", "Optimizing a High-Purity Water System", "Pharmaceutical Water Systems", and "High-Purity Water Preparation for the Semiconductor, Pharmaceutical, and Power Industries".
ULTRAPURE WATER On-Line also offers several general water treatment books. Examples of those titles include "The Science and Technology of Industrial Water Treatment", "Fundamentals of Fluid Filtration: A Technical Primer", "The Nalco Water Handbook", and "Coagulants and Flocculants-Theory and Practice".
Other titles are available at the ULTRAPURE WATER home page (http://www.ultrapurewater.com). In addition to the books, the on-line bookstore also features a 12-volume interactive CD Water Treatment Encyclopedia that provides timely training in key water treatment subjects.
