On 10th April 2012, Chef Davinder Kumar launched his new set of books on "Soups" & "Four Seasons Salads" at Le Meridien, New Delhi for people to have a tasteful compilation of the recipes from his kitchen. Published by Shubhi Publications, the book was launched by Mr. Kapil Sibal, Hon'ble Minister for Human Resource development, Communications & Information Technology, Government of India. Mr. S. Y. Quraishi, Chief Election Commisioner was seen as the guest of honor & Mr. Sanjay Arya of Shubhi Publication.

The glitterati launch saw many gourmets of the city graced the occasion like Ghulam Ali, Uma Vasudev, Sharon Lowen, Dr. Anjalina Kuwatra, Ruchi Rai, Shalini Vij, Vinod Dua, Jessica Sawhney & Vinayak Khanijo, Leena Badani, Salma Hussain, Sandeep Marwah, Vinod Sharma, Chef Vivek Sagar, Chef P. Sekar to name a few. Chef Davinder Kumar has laid out a banquet of delicious vegetarian Indian and international food ranging from the everyday to the exotic in his new set of books. They are an encyclopedia of scrumptious recipes of soups & salads & its kinds from all corners of India. Book written by noted Chef Davinder Kumar, Vice President of Le Meridien is a perfect handbook for amateur & professional cook alike, surrounding the 200 delectable of soups & salads each. The launch also witnessed Ruchi Rai as the compere of the of the book launch.

At the occasion of Book launch Chef Davinder Kumar said, "The books have different variety of recipes of soups & salads which will help day to day cooking in Indian Kitchens & I have explained each dish in very simple language so that even a beginner can try their hands on cooking and be successful in this art. I strive to add more scope to the Culinary Art of India"

About Chef Davinder Kumar
An aficionado in the fine art of cooking to the gourmet's delight, Davinder Kumar has been in this profession for more than three decades. He was the sole Indian representative in the International Cooking Festival held in Tokyo, Japan, in 1983 and was awarded a medal for his presentation of Indian cuisine. Currently he is working as the Hotel's Vice President (F&B Production) & Executive Chef in Le Meridien. His first book 'Just kebabs- 365 Kebabs, one for leap year'-by Shubhi Publications, received great response & appreciation. He has also been conferred upon National Tourism Award for Best Chef of India by Ministry of Tourism. Chef Kumar, the President of Indian Culinary Forum, North India has been bestowed with many awards for his excellence in culinary art & contribution to the industry.
