Say Goodbye To Stress and Strain
Online, February 11, 2013 (Newswire.com) - On the evening of Sunday, 17th Feb, hundreds of professionals in Pune will come together to wave goodbye to the stress that is a gift of the modern day lifestyle. Everyone is invited to join this spectacular sight with a fleet of sky lanterns flying together to touch the sky.
The 'Let Go Day' is inspired from Buddhism or more particularly the 'Yi Peng' day. The philosophy of this simple act is that to live our lives to the fullest we much free our minds from thoughts - from worries and anxieties, from stress and strain. Through the lanterns, people actually 'let go' of their past selves and gain a renewed vital energy. The flame symbolizes wisdom that takes the negativities and the excess baggage that we do not need, to the source as Love and Light.
The Let Go Day is being organized by Weakened Warriors, which is a gang of youngsters, who organize innovative ventures every weekend and utilize the funds generated to empower micro-entrepreneurs. Weekend Warriors is active in Pune, India with the mission is to fuel the entrepreneurial fire in the youth and empower micro-enterprises.
Weekend Warriors engages young people, who resonate with our core values and mission and together invest our weekends in planning and executing different business ideas. Each of these Weekend Ventures need to be innovative and profitable and is carried out only for a weekend.
"We aim to engage more and more like-minded people and grow this unique movement across India. The model enables us to tap into the huge talent pool which is available only on weekends. As we push ourselves beyond the boundaries, each weekend warrior is able to unleash his or her fullest potential. Weekend Warriors identifies certain micro-entrepreneurs, who want to start or grow their business. All proceeds from our Weekend Ventures are lent to such micro-enterprises at very low interest rates. We can even give them a ready business model to replicate. We intervene from time to time and offer our management skills, knowledge and ideas to ensure the success of these micro-enterprises. Empowering these enterprises and supporting the socioeconomic development of their family, is a step towards our dream of a more inclusive world and towards the development of our country." explains Anshumaan, cofounder of Weekend Warriors
