Scannell & Kurz Presents "The Financial Aid Climate in Higher Education" at The 2010 NACCAP Annual Conference

Online, April 24, 2010 (Newswire.com) - PITTSFORD, NY, April 19, 2010 - Scannell & Kurz, Inc., a strategic enrollment management higher education consulting firm, announced today that team members Mary Piccioli and Silvio Vazquez will be session presenters at the 2010 North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals (NACCAP) Annual Conference, Simply Christian.

Ms. Piccioli will lead a session on The Financial Aid Climate in Higher Education: Research to Help Drive Home Messages and Achieve Strategic Goals. Mr. Vazquez will present on Transfer Students-the Breakthrough Market during his session. Both will lead a session on Data Driven Retention.

The 2010 NACCAP Annual Conference will be held June 6-9, 2010, at Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Consultant Silvio Vazquez previously served as the Vice President for Enrollment at Gordon College in Wenham, MA where he was responsible for directing the College's admissions and overall enrollment efforts. Under his leadership, the College experienced increases in selectivity, retention, under-represented student enrollments and graduation rates, and an increase in the quality indices of incoming students. Mr. Vazquez holds an M.B.A. from the Wallace E. Carroll School of Management at Boston College and a B.A. in History from Gordon College.

Prior to joining Scannell & Kurz, Mary Piccioli was the Assistant Vice President of Institutional Research and Planning, as well as the Dean of Enrollment at St. Bonaventure University, where her responsibilities included undergraduate and graduate admissions, financial aid, and institutional research. As a consultant at Scannell & Kurz, she manages the Financial Aid Strategy Tool (FAST) as well as consulting on a variety of enrollment management topics. Ms. Piccioli holds a B.S. in mathematics and an M.B.A., both from St. Bonaventure University.
