SCHC, a Top-Rated Trauma and PTSD Treatment Centre in British Columbia Canada, Announces Participation in 2 Key Conferences
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 28, 2021 (Newswire.com) - Sunshine Coast Health Centre (SCHC), a best-in-class trauma and PTSD treatment program located in Powell River, BC, Canada, is proud to announce its successful participation in two key conferences. Throughout the year, the Centre and its staff actively participate in conferences across Canada that help move the treatment of addiction and abuse forward. The conferences focused on training for psychotherapists working with Canadians who are struggling with mental health issues.
"We are so pleased with our staff, participation, and learning at these two key events," explained Casey Jordan, Chief Marketing Officer. "We are constantly looking to expand knowledge in key Canadian communities about addiction, abuse, and trauma."
Here is the background on the announcement. In partnership with Jack Hirose & Associations, the Centre sponsored two online training events this past spring.
On April 21, experts including Drs. Gabor Mate, David Burns, Margaret Wehrenberg, Jonah Paquette, Caroline Buzanko, and Donald Altman presented at the Western Canada Mental Health Summit. Then, on May 19, Dr. Mate and other notable world-class presenters were featured May 19 at the Canadian Trauma and Addictions Conference. Among other key facts is the following: for the first time ever, rates for these conferences were reduced to make these trainings more accessible to the general public.
Finally, based on the positive response to these online psychotherapy trainings, Sunshine Coast Health Centre and George Strait Women's Clinic will be offering additional events in the fall of 2021. Interested persons are urged to stay tuned and to bookmark the two websites: first, the Sunshine Coast Health Centre website at https://www.sunshinecoasthealthcentre.ca/, and second, the Georgia Straits website at https://georgiastraitwomensclinic.ca/.
