Scientology Sponsored Charity Coalition Community Hub for Expansion

The Charity Coalition was established in September 2014 for like-minded individuals to network, share resources and collaborate on outreach for increased benefit to all members of our community.

The Church of Scientology’s Charity Coalition welcomed 108 executives and representatives of charities and non-profits from the Bay area for its last luncheon of the year in the Fort Harrison’s Crystal Ballroom.

Guests in attendance came from over 40 non-profit organizations, including Feed Our Children, the Rotary, Alpha House of Tampa Bay, Miracles Outreach, Caregivers Helping Hand, American Cancer Society, Florida Coalition Against Human Trafficking and Keep Pinellas Beautiful.

"Humanitarian and Church of Scientology Founder Mr. L. Ron Hubbard once wrote that 'What is important is how much service you can give the world and how much you can get done and how much better you can make things. These are important things. His ability to help measures his worth and that is all.' And that is why we established the Charity Coalition, to help you in your mission to help others."

Luncheon guests donated 147 hygiene products, including tooth brushes, toothpaste, soap and shampoo to CHSL.

The educational presentation was given by Mrs. Liz Wooten Reschke, President and Lead Consultant of Connectivity Community Consulting. With over 20 years of experience with non-profits, Ms. Wooten Reschke gave a 15-minute tutorial on basic board governance.
