SCORE Franchising Seminar Opens the Door to Small Business Dreams

Online, February 21, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Treasure Coast SCORE, (TreasureCoast.SCORE.org) will host Franchising A to Z, a how-to seminar on franchising at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at Indian River State College, 3209 Virginia Ave.

The SCORE workshop will explore how franchising can take the risk out of starting your own business and becoming self employed. Michael Bush, a franchise broker with Transworld Advisors, will showcase how franchisors work, the costs of buying and maintaining a franchise and the risks.

"A franchise gives you an established structure that can help a small business owner achieve success more quickly then if they got it alone," said Phil Kemp, chair of Treasure Coast SCORE. "Most franchisors provide training, support, materials, etc., to get you started versus a "start from scratch option.

Attendees will get a chance to register to win a copy of MS Office Pro, much needed software for small businesses valued at $500.
