Scottsdale Artist Introduces "Sunday Drives" Photo Series

Fine Art Photographer and Scottsdale Gallery Owner Cheyenne L. Rouse is proud to announce the release of her latest and most innovative photo series entitled; "Sunday Drives"

Remember a time when the family would pile into the car with the dog and a picnic basket and take a Sunday drive to the beach, desert or the mountains? Step back in time as Fine Art Photographer Cheyenne L Rouse introduces "Sunday Drives", this unique series will take viewers back to the days before the distractions of the digital age, when life was simple and the world still had a sense of innocence to it.

In her series, "Sunday Drives", Cheyenne utilizes authentic old rusted car doors to showcase her Fine Art Photography. Rouse scours junkyards around the Southwest hunting for distressed doors until she finds just the right one. She also looks for the perfect colors in each door to compliment the Fine Art Giclee Photograph that is then mounted inside of the car window. Each "3D Sculptural" Art piece will depict a pastoral scenic vista that one might see out the car window on a "Sunday Drive", whether it is an Old West Frontier Town or an historic barn in a mountain meadow. Rouse specializes in photographing the history and nostalgia of the Old West and Southwest and is passionate about the legend and the lore of the region. Each piece will be a one of a kind creation and sure to be a conversation piece where ever it is installed.

Cheyenne L Rouse opened Ancient Light Gallery in 2010; the Gallery is located on Marshall Way in the bustling Scottsdale Arts District. Rouse exhibits her Fine Art Photographs of the American West and Southwest at her Gallery and will exhibiting "Sunday Drives" through the summer. Rouse says, "The idea for this series has been a vision in my head for many years and I knew that the time was right to make my vision a reality, I am so excited to show these new pieces and the response from my collectors has been overwhelming."

Cheyenne L Rouse has been a professional photographer since 1989 and has had her photographs published in national and international publications as well as many ad campaigns. Cheyenne's Fine Art Photographs hang in the homes and offices of numerous private collectors across the country. "There are very few artists in the world that evoke such emotion in me. Salvador Dali, Kenny G, Barbra Streisand, and now Cheyenne L. Rouse. I am truly your biggest fan." Private Collector - Lake Mary, FL

Currently Cheyenne offers several computer classes held at her Gallery as well as photo workshops throughout the region; please visit her blog for more information: www.CheyenneRouse.com/Workshops

Originally from Miami, Rouse relocated to Scottsdale in June 2010 after living and working in Park City, Utah for 12 years. "I love the desert and am so glad to call Arizona my home, the Southwest is a photographer's paradise and now I am just a short drive from so many of my favorite photo destinations."
