Screen Tight to Launch Three New Porch Screening Innovations at Remodeling Show, DeckExpo 2017
Cutting edge screen porch systems provide extreme weather protection and design flexibility for homeowners and home professionals.
NASHVILLE, TN, October 24, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Screen Tight, the leader in porch screening innovations, is introducing three new products at Remodeling Show, DeckExpo 2017, including the revolutionary MeshGuard infill system, a ground-breaking method to enclose and winterize porches, and a porch framing system built and tested to resist hurricane-force winds.
Screen Tight developed the newly patented, building-code approved MeshGuard system to enhance porch and deck design. With most American building code requiring vertical pickets, or other obtrusive barriers, to be placed every four inches in the infill area under a porch handrail, MeshGuard replaces these visual hindrances with an innovative screening system that creates an open, unobstructed view to the outdoors.
"We wanted to create a product that could improve porch and deck designs but also enhance what porch living is all about - enjoying the outdoors." said Guerry Green, Screen Tight President. "There is no comparable product to MeshGuard on the market today."

“We wanted to create a product that could improve porch and deck designs but also enhance what porch living is all about – enjoying the outdoors,” said Guerry Green, Screen Tight President. “There is no comparable product to MeshGuard on the market today.”
Screen Tight’s new Screen Block system, also recently patented, enables homeowners to use their outdoor living area year-round. While traditional porch enclosures and sunrooms are costly and permanent, Screen Block provides a cost-effective and seasonal solution to enclose a porch. The system uses a unique vinyl film that can be installed without removing the screen and consists of flexible PVC framing components that can bend to screen archways.
“Many mid-century homes have porches that add 150+ square feet of living space,” Green said. “Screen Block provides homeowners a simple and cost-effective solution to extend this livable area to three season room."
Screen Wall – Screen Tight’s composite PVC porch framing system, has been designed to withstand hurricane-force winds. With extreme weather becoming a new normal, Screen Wall provides homeowners piece of mind with incredibly durable porch elements.
“We have extensively tested the system in winds over 150 mph,” said Green. “And because it’s made from a semi-flexible material, we have documented Screen Wall bending slightly but then returning to its original shape after winds subside.”
Screen Tight is the leading manufacturer of screen porch systems, screen doors, and other building products. Available at leading home improvement retailers, lumber yards and hardware stores the original Screen Tight porch screening system has been installed in millions of homes across America.
