Seattle's First Healthcare-Focused Startup Weekend -- Deadline Approaching to Register

Startup Weekend: Health is the first of its kind completely focused on health in Washington State.

What: Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. It is the largest community of passionate entrepreneurs with over 1800 past events in 120 countries around the world.

Who: Software developers, product designers, and healthcare professionals — all are welcome.

Why: Bothell Startup Weekend: Health is the first of its kind completely focused on health in Washington State. Teams organically form around the top ideas (by vote) and then it’s a 54-hour work frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. Startup Weekends culminate in Sunday night demos-- presentations to local business leaders with an opportunity for critical feedback.

Categories include: medical devices, telemedicine, e-scheduling, wearables, consumer health applications, big data, pharma/life sciences, payer/insurance technology, and nutrition. Participants will receive: access to a 3D printer for prototypes, plenty of SWAG, plus a free hour of consultation with the Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association

Prizes are awarded to the top three teams.
