SecurAlarm Systems, the premier security integrator in the West Michigan market, has been awarded the 2010 Construction Award from the Associated Builders and Contractors West Michigan Chapter. The 'Low Voltage Systems' Award of Excellence recognizes and promotes the quality workmanship performed by SecurAlarm for their security integration at the Van Andel Institute of Grand
Rapids.
Supervised by Patrick Van Haren, Gloria Lubben, and Al Wohlfert, the Van Andel Institute installation included IP-based access control panels, IP-based surveillance cameras, visitor and vendor management, security and fire alarm system monitoring, and full integration with the Intelligent Building System to support VAI's LEED and green initiatives.
The Van Andel Institute conducts biomedical research, with a focus on cancer and Parkinson disease and with an emphasis on translating scientific research results into clinical applications.
