Seeing beyond the Ordinary: Digital Fine Artist/Photographer Launches Brand New Digital Art Website

Award-winning and published artist, Patricia Bologna, launches website to share her work with fellow art enthusiasts.

New York, NY, May 26, 2010 - Patricia Bologna is an award-winning, featured and published artist who never wants to become stagnant in her pursuit of continual personal development while she follows her passion. Her newly launched website Art by Pat Bologna exemplifies Patricia's expression of her thoughts and feelings about life's experiences. Pat says "There are times when words aren't enough to express what I see and how I feel about life. The emergence of some of my work is the conduit of expression although "disturbing" at times is a form of solace for me."

Patricia became interested in photography as a young adult, which further enhanced her passion for the arts. She was an avid darkroom photographer and spent countless hours in her own darkroom developing all mediums including color printing and black and white. Patricia has won several awards from Kodak including 1st Prize for KINSA (Kodak International Newspaper Snapshot Awards), was published in the NY Post, Photographer's Forum Magazine and several local photography contests. It wasn't until 1997 that she left her darkroom behind and became a part of the digital world. Patricia's digital work has been featured in the Parrish Museum in South Hampton, NY, Smithtown Township Arts Council, NY, The Little Gallery, NY, Solo Exhibition, Bellmore Library, was spotlighted on the cover of Photoshop® User Magazine and received a runner's up award for The Adobe® Digital Competition. Her paintings were showcased in Muttontown, Chelsea Cultural Center, NY, SUNY Farmingdale Art Gallery, and other local art galleries.

Patricia combines her award-winning photography, designing, and painting expertise with cutting edge technology to create her artwork. Her work has been praised for its beauty, unusual messaging and striking tapestry-like themes. There are times that she writes out a story and works out her solutions to create her art. Patricia likes to think of her camera as her eyes and the computer as a means of painting her messages. She sees the computer as offering an array of solutions that help her be more creative.

Most of Patricia's digital fine art is driven by her desire to express her innermost thoughts regarding the human condition. She likes to think of her art as visual intellectual puzzles that wake up the mind. If the viewer walks away thinking, then she feels that she has accomplished her goal.

Selected pieces of Patricia's art will soon be available for purchase. Visit her gallery at: http://artbypatbologna.com/index.html
