Sell Off Auctions Expands The Number Of Products Available To Their Customers
Sell Off Auctions Expands their product line just in time for the holiday season.
Online, November 17, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Just in time for the holidays, penny auction site, Sell Off Auctions, has expanded the range of new consumer products available for purchase on their competitive bidding website.
"Our business has been growing faster than we expected," Josh a company spokesman said. "We decided to use our additional revenue to include more products in our auctions. With the holiday shopping season coming up, we want to give our users as much choice as possible."
Sell Off Auctions is a penny auction site. That means that users pay a $179 sign up fee and are then given a package of bids. They are also allowed to purchase additional bids if they so choose. Each time they place a bid on an auction, the price goes up by a penny and time is added to the clock. Whomever places the last bid before time runs out wins the auction and gets to buy the product at the final price - which is generally lower than retail.
Sell Off Auctions started off offering basic consumer electronics products. But, the expansion means that other high-end products will now be available for bidding. Some of the new items include:
•MacBook Pros
•Nintendo Wiis
•Cannon EOS Rebel Cameras
•Sony Home Theater Systems
•8GB Ipod Touch
"The more products we have to offer, the more reasons we give people to keep coming back to our auctions," Josh said. "It's not only a good deal for our customers, but it also makes good sense for our company as a whole."
Sell Off Auctions recently signed up their 2,000th member in a little under two months. Company officials said they did not plan to meet that level of consumer participation this quickly after their launch.
"Penny auctions are becoming increasingly popular, and we have been able to ride that wave," Josh said. "I think people are choosing us because we are offering better customer service than some of the established penny auction sites."
Sell Off Auctions allows people to contact the company 24 hours a day, seven days a week with their questions and concerns - a feature that is not available on many of the other penny auction sites.
"Because the idea of penny auctions is so new, people have more questions about how the process works than they would with a traditional retail site," Josh said. "We understand that and do not want our customers to be confused by the process."
