September Sales of Wearever Men's Undergarments to Raise Funds for Prostate Cancer Awareness

Wearever Partners with Nonprofit Us TOO International in Observance of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

The Wearever® brand, makers of comfortable, quality, affordable and stylish apparel solutions for everyday health and wellness concerns, will donate 10 percent of proceeds from the Wearever men’s incontinence underwear line this September to further support of those living with prostate cancer. The donation is being made through a partnership with Us TOO International, a nonprofit prostate cancer education and support network that helps men and their families make informed decisions about detection and treatment.

The partnership is timed with the September observance of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and aims to increase education and advocacy for the highly prevalent disease. According to Us TOO, one in six men will be diagnosed during their lifetime, two men every five minutes. With additional research and awareness of early detection, Wearever and Us TOO hope to empower men to make informed decisions about their battle with prostate cancer, which is the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States.

“Us TOO serves 325 group chapters worldwide, offering a support system and educational resource to men and their families,” said Thomas Kirk, president and CEO of Us TOO. “Thanks to the partnership with Wearever, the donated funds will help us further distribute patient resource kits, informational guides and more to millions of patients internationally.”

For men who have undergone treatment for prostate cancer, Wearever offers a comfortable solution for the common side effect of urinary urgency and frequency, as well as disruption in the bladder’s ability to hold urine, for some men who had a prostate gland removed.

Wearever men’s boxers and briefs have built-in absorbency to contain urinary leakage up to 20 ounces. With a look and feel just like traditional underwear, the subtle incontinence protection works just as well as or better than alternatives like adult diapers or pads. The garments are also washable and reusable, providing a more comfortable, eco-friendly and affordable option.

“Wearever undergarments help maintain dignity with a traditional underwear fabrication and design so those dealing with urinary incontinence, whether from prostate cancer treatments or otherwise, can be comfortable and confident,” said Bob Deerin, president and CEO of the Wearever brand. “Especially with September being Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, we’re very honored to align with Us TOO to further support men with the disease.”

Wearever will donate 10 percent of all proceeds from sales of its men’s underwear line purchased on www.WeareverUS.com between Sept. 1 and 30 to Us TOO International. To learn more about the services offered by this nonprofit, visit www.ustoo.org.
