Seventh Year for Arizona State Swimsuit Calendar, Tempe12

Online, June 14, 2010 (Newswire.com) - There is no need to carry around a coupon book when all you need is a copy of Tempe12, the college swimsuit calendar that highlights 12 gorgeous college girls from Arizona State University. The calendar comes with a poster insert which includes 72 coupons for local restaurants and businesses in the Tempe area.

Over 8,000 girls applied for a spot in the 2010-11 calendar and the top 12 were selected in May. For president and CEO, David Freedman, the selection process was not easy. Freedman doesn't look for a '10.' He looks for a '12.'

"We look for girls with the complete package," Freedman said. "They have to be equally intelligent as they are beautiful."

Every '12' has a gpa over 3.0 and a unique story that makes them more than your average college girl. Kahori is double majoring in finance and accounting. Chrissa has modeled for Playboy. Jess is Athabaskan Alaska Native, Eskimo, Mexican, and Navajo. Taylor knows the difference between a 1969 Nova SS and a 1969 Chevelle SS.

For Courtney Sheber, this is her second run in the calendar. She appeared as Miss April in the 2008-2009 calendar which featured girls of the Pac-10. She can do back-flips and ride a dirt bike, not to mention she is drop-dead gorgeous. Sheber has become a local celebrity with close to 50,000 followers on Facebook.

Tempe12, which Freedman started in 2005 out of his college dorm room distributes 25,000 copies of the calendar for FREE in and around the Tempe area each year. Freedman's vision was to "revolutionize college marketing." The calendar has become a staple in every guy's dorm room and a dream for many girls at ASU. With the many events hosted by Tempe12 around campus, everyone wants to be a part of the fun. Tempe12 has reached 44,000 fans on Facebook making it easy for everyone to see where the Tempe12 girls will be and to see photos from past events.

This year the calendar will be shot in Arizona by world-renowned photographer, David Rams. The girls will be photographed at the Sun Devil Stadium at ASU for the poster insert which will include the ASU football schedule. Hot girls, great deals and football; what more could you want? They will make several television and radio appearances including Howard Stern. This is the seventh year for the calendar and it will be released in late August as students return to ASU from summer break.
