SFK-Success for Kids Names Dr. Marybeth Gasman Chair of Global Education Advisory Board

SFK announces appointment of Dr. Marybeth Gasman as the Chair of the organization's Education Advisory Board.

SFK-Success for Kids today announced the appointment of Dr. Marybeth Gasman as the Chair of the organization's Education Advisory Board. In this role, she is responsible for working with a team of expert researchers to provide guidance to SFK on its educational strategy, innovation, curriculum and keeping at pace with the global educational issues.

Dr. Gasman is an Associate Professor of Education at the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania and is the author or editor of many award-winning books related to education. She has published many peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Teachers College Record, the American Educational Research Journal, and Educational Researcher to name a few. In 2006, the Association for the Study of Higher Education awarded her with the Early Career Award.
Dr. Gasman is a Vice President-Elect for the American Education Research Association and serves on advisory boards for the United Negro College Fund and the Women's Philanthropy Institute.

Dr. Gasman's research has been cited in various media venues, including: The Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, Chronicle of Higher Education, National Public Radio, Inside Higher Education, U.S. News and World Report, and CNN. She's also been cited in the New York Times, the Chronicle of Higher Education, Diverse Issues in Higher Education where she also blogs about education.
