SGIS Achieves Record Revenue of Over $100 Million in 2009

In the midst of the economic recession, SGIS announced annual revenues of over $100 million for the 2009 fiscal year, over 13% growth from 2008.

SGIS, a national government contracting firm, today announced record revenue in 2009. In the midst of the economic recession, the company announced annual revenues of over $100 million for the 2009 fiscal year, over 13% growth from 2008. Only a short seven years after inception, SGIS employs over 700 people from 14 office locations nationwide and has quickly grown into a multi-million dollar organization.

"SGIS has experienced phenomenal growth and seen great success since inception," said SGIS CEO Hany Girgis. "We are extremely proud to have reached this milestone and attribute our success to the dedication and loyalty of our employees and customers. We look forward to our continued growth in the years to come."

SGIS was founded in 2002 from the spare bedroom of CEO Hany Girgis' San Diego home in response to the first attack on our nation's soil in more than fifty years. The turmoil of the 9-11 hijackings showed a weakness in our nation's securities and, as a result, Girgis pinpointed that there would be an upsurge in Defense, Intelligence and Homeland Security.

2009 was an exceptional year for growth with the acquisition of several large government contracts including an Engineering and Installation Support contract by the United States Army in support of Project Manager, Defense Communications & Army Transmission Systems (PM DCATS); and a Scientific, Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) contract by the United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command / Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT) in support of Space and Missile Defense Initiatives Support III (SMDIS III), among other contracts. The company also opened two new office locations in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Fayetteville, North Carolina to support its rapid growth.
