Retail design specialist Sheridan&Co has designed the travel retail environments to launch Absolut Rock edition, the latest special edition bottle from the iconic vodka brand. The first UK sites opened in Heathrow and Gatwick airports on Friday 2nd October.

Sheridan&Co has worked with Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Europe to bring the Absolut Rock concept to life in a series of promotional sites in airports across the globe. Taking its visual cues from the Absolut Rock collage graphics, 'the main event' concept was developed by the consultancy to reflect the fashion, glamour and vibrancy of today's modern rock star.

Sheridan&Co has even designed a 'rock' uniform for the brand ambassadors to wear on all the sites to ensure that every element of the airside promotion has a consistent feel.
The three UK installations will open in Gatwick South and Heathrow's Terminals 3 and 5, with each tailor-made to make the best use of the site but have consistent key visual elements to make them work together as a family. All have the feel of a live music venue including a special edition guitar displaying the campaign collage graphics.

The Heathrow Terminal 5 installation located in the World Duty Free store features a dramatic black wall bay clad to look like a giant speaker. The iconic bottle is displayed on inset shelving back lit with a purple lighting. Three purple stripes highlight the edge of the bay and the site is anchored on treadplate flooring.

Shuhui Lim, Brand Manager at Pernod Ricard Travel Retail Europe, said: "Absolut Rock edition is a very important launch for us and Sheridan&Co was able to help us translate this concept into our in-store executions with successful impact. This is a visual feast for passengers passing through these airports. The attention that we get from these executions will build the ABSOLUT brand as being relevant and at the leading edge of creative which in turn will sell more premium vodka."

Sheridan&Co is also working on more sites to go into Istanbul, Paris and Copenhagen Airports over the next few months.

Absolut Rock Edition follows the success of the limited edition Masquerade and Disco bottles in recent years. The new bottle - wrapped in an exclusive package of faux leather and studs - pays tribute to the world of rock. Absolut Rock Edition is at the heart of the 'In An Absolut World, You Rock' marketing campaign.
