Sherpa Appoints Veteran Technology Executive to Board of Directors

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., January 3, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Sherpa Digital Media, a leading provider of enterprise video streaming and management, announced today the appointment of veteran technology executive Kevin J. Kennedy to its board of directors. Kennedy brings decades of experience in executive leadership as CEO and board member of some of the world’s leading technology companies, including Avaya, JDS Uniphase, OpenWave and Cisco.

Kennedy currently serves as senior managing director at Blue Ridge Partners, a management consulting firm focused on accelerating revenue growth in companies. Previously, he served as CEO of Avaya for more than eight years, expanding the global reach of Avaya’s teleconferencing solutions. Kennedy also served as president and CEO of JDS Uniphase and has held senior product development and executive roles at Cisco, Openwave and AT&T. In 2010, he was appointed to President Obama’s National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee.
