Shibumi Appoints Douglas Gordon as Chief Marketing Officer
STAMFORD, Conn., October 19, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Shibumi, provider of the leading software-as-a-service platform for executing strategic programs, today announced the appointment of former Intralinks, Inc. and Bain & Co. leader Douglas Gordon as Chief Marketing Officer.
As CMO, Gordon will be responsible for all Shibumi marketing activities, including market strategy, messaging, sales effectiveness, awareness building, demand generation, and customer business value realization. He will also be working closely with key Shibumi partners to strengthen the combined value proposition and identify new growth opportunities.
Gordon brings to Shibumi extensive experience in SaaS and enterprise technology, as well as hands-on understanding of the design and execution of strategic programs for global enterprises. Prior to Shibumi, he was Senior Vice President of Industry and Product Marketing at Intralinks, a leading SaaS provider of content sharing and collaboration solutions (acquired by Synchronoss Technologies). Before Intralinks, Gordon was a Principal at global management consulting firm Bain & Co., where he led enterprise technology-focused projects across strategy, M&A diligence, go-to-market design, process improvement and cost transformation.
“We’re excited to have Doug join our leadership team,” said Bob Nahmias, Shibumi’s CEO. “The foundation of Shibumi’s long-term success is maintaining an intense focus on the needs of our demanding customer base, while demonstrating to both advisors and enterprises the full business benefits of adopting Shibumi. Doug’s track record driving SaaS growth with senior business buyers and his deep understanding of Shibumi’s advisory and enterprise customers will be invaluable as we execute on our plan.”
Adoption of Shibumi by leading advisory firms and enterprises has accelerated over the last two years, driven by the urgent need of global businesses to deliver results from strategic change programs, including cost management, org transformation, process automation and post-merger integration.
“I recognize from personal experience the critical value that Shibumi is bringing to its customers,” Gordon said. “Bridging the gap between great strategy and strong execution is one of the toughest challenges for complex enterprises, and both business leaders and their advisers need purpose-built technology to help them manage that challenge. Shibumi is uniquely positioned in this market, and I’m thrilled to be joining a great team.”
