Shmoop To Develop Content For A&E Television Networks' Bio.Com

Shmoop today announced a partnership with A&E Television Networks, LLC to develop content for Bio.com, the leading digital resource for biographies.

Shmoop (www.shmoop.com), a publisher of fun and relevant digital learning materials, today announced a partnership with A&E Television Networks, LLC to develop content for Bio.com, the leading digital resource for biographies. Shmoop digital content is written by educators and experts - mostly Ph.D. students from Stanford, UC Berkeley, Harvard, and other top universities.

"Shmoop shares our passion for storytelling and for helping audiences of all ages better connect with the interesting people who shape our world," said Dan Suratt, Executive Vice President, Digital Media and Business Development, A&E Television Networks (AETN). "We are excited to partner with Shmoop to make Bio.com even more engaging and current."

"Shmoop has already made millions of students and teachers better lovers of history, literature, and biographies," said Ellen Siminoff, CEO of Shmoop. "We are thrilled to introduce Shmoop's intelligent, interesting writing to millions of fans of Bio and Bio.com."

Exclusive Shmoop content will now appear on the Bio.com website. Shmoop's initial contributions include biographies for Twitter Co-Founder Jack Dorsey, celebrity chef Bobby Flay, and actress Joan Collins.

Shmoop makes learning fun and relevant by infusing topics like The Scarlet Letter, To Kill a Mockingbird, and the American Revolution with humor, pop culture references, trivia, photos, and current events.
