Should People Invite Children To Weddings?

With Valentine's Day approaching there are many couples putting the final touches to their weddings, finalising the guest list, transportation and such.

Valentine's Day is held by many to be the most romantic day of the year. Many couples plan days out or holidays together, while others become engaged and even get married on the occasion simply as it's so romantic. Whatever the type of celebration, couples now always make a point of celebrating the day, and getting married is what many choose to do so they can remember it for ever.

For those getting married on Valentine's Day, the day will be forever special, but all of the careful planning needs to pay off and there are some hot subjects causing friction between friends at the moment. At the top of this list of subjects is the question of whether or not a couple should invite their children to their wedding, obviously family members with children are welcomed, but the children of friends don't have anything to do with the couple and won't want to attend anyway.

Online baby boutique Dorothy and Theodore recently blogged on this subject, a Website Representative for the company commented, "We're lucky to have access to information from many different experts in the field of relationships, children and adults. Our source recommended that couples should only invite children of family members, as if a friend's child causes a situation then the couple may feel resentful towards their friends."

The blog from Dorothy and Theodore went on to say that couples should always discuss the subject of whether children are invited or not with their friends and family, as when friends turn up who have been asked not to bring their children and see others attending, they could well feel offended if they don't know the full situation.

Dorothy and Theodore is a fetch baby boutique based in the UK. They offer a wide range of goods online from a selection of sellers, all available on their website. They provide adults, expecting parents, families and homes with handmade gifts.
